Star Wars/ Star Trek/Sci-Fi Weddings

This Star Wars wedding is my favorite:

“The story behind [the wedding] was that we’d been married before, and I told my husband the only way I’d get married again is if it was with Elvis in Vegas, and he said the only way he’d do it again is if it was on the bridge of the Enterprise. Luckily, Vegas is the only place where one could have done that, so that’s where we went. To date, that’s the only Star Trek wedding with Elvis. It was fun and entertaining (we had a fantastic Elvis), and definitely a once in a lifetime event.”

I love that Star Wars wedding at the top where everyone was in fancy dress. Some of those costumes were fantastic! I think if everyone’s going to really go for it and work hard at getting decent costumes and make-up, then it’s worth doing. But if they aren’t, or it’s a bit half baked, then it can look a bit sad. The Elvis wedding on the Enterprise looked absolutely hideous. Sorry.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that. Yeah, it’s kinda weird.
OK, you know you are a trekkie (or trekker if you prefer) when you look at photos of scifi theme weddings and see one taking place on the TNG bridge and get upset that the bride is wearing a TOS dress with black pumps (!) while the groom is in a TNG (I think) movie dress uniform…WTH!
A lightsaber duel? Seriously? I wanna have a lightsaber duel at my wedding!!!!!!
I love it! These are great! Not sure which I love more, the star wars, or the star treck!
An’ for the record, bloody LOVE the hans/chewy wedding cake topper…lol
