I can’t believe I’m just now getting to this great submission. Really need to get back to posting, you guys have really outdone yourself with the emails.
From my TW Reader:
“HI! I’m a fan from Spain… I love your site and it is hilarious. I saw the whole site and what you’re missing is the best of the best… the Spanish gipsy weddings. I hope you enjoy it! “
Diana, you’ve taken me on a journey. These slide shows are really great and I wasted half my Saturday morning on these… and that’s the highest possible compliment I could bestow on a submission. I love Spain! And Diana!
The same couple enjoying what I assume is “casual wear”
Robo-Bride even tells the audience how happy she is wearing a wedding dress for the first time.
It’s not a wedding, but this guy actually proposed in an Arby’s. I mean, I know the roast beef samiches are the bomb there, but you couldn’t go on a walk or something?
And for some reason her Dad put the ring on. Those curly fries look pretty delicious actually…..
thanks to Rachel for the first picture and the idea!
We’re late in the game, I know, but Tacky Weddings has now joined the world of Twitter.
These weddings look like they were a lot of fun, especially ones where the guests dress up.
This Star Wars wedding is my favorite:
From the Bride, Jennifer:
“The story behind [the wedding] was that we’d been married before, and I told my husband the only way I’d get married again is if it was with Elvis in Vegas, and he said the only way he’d do it again is if it was on the bridge of the Enterprise. Luckily, Vegas is the only place where one could have done that, so that’s where we went. To date, that’s the only Star Trek wedding with Elvis. It was fun and entertaining (we had a fantastic Elvis), and definitely a once in a lifetime event.”
In honor of the upcoming holiday weekend!!
Ralph Archbold, who is a Benjamin Franklin impersonator, married Linda Wilde, who portrays Betsy Ross at different events. Mayor Michael Nutter officiated the ceremony. Ben and Betsy exchanged rings engraved with a kite and key and the stars and stripes The crowd reportedly gasped as Wilde, dressed in a 18th Century-era wedding dress, walked down the aisle of Independence Mall escorted by family members dressed in period garb. Not to be outdone, Archbold’s best man was a guy who plays Thomas Jefferson.
Their wedding cake, adorable!
This funny Vegas wedding video was submitted to us by the groom, Josh:
“My second wife and I married in a swanky Vegas nightclub two years ago. Neither of us wanted anything traditional. Especially the dress and the vows. We figured that because so many of our friends were traveling so far to witness our self-incarceration that we’d better give them a good show. From the false bride entrance and quick change from a tacky white sack into a slinky black cocktail dress… to the modern day vows which tell it like it is… this was one hell of a production. Our guests were rolling out of their seats with laughter. And the food was pretty good too.”
Looked like everyone enjoyed themselves!
All I can think about is how sorry I feel for the two bridesmaids that had to wear head-to-toe neon orange.
Is that a rodent at the bottom of the cake?
